Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Payroll Administrator to join our team at Fidelity Head Office in Helderkruin. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll transactions, resolving payroll queries, ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining accurate employee records. This role requires strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and professionalism in handling sensitive financial data.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar payroll role
- Experience in payroll processing or a finance-related role preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling payroll data
- Excellent communication skills (clear, accurate, and professional)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in SAP payroll software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance is an advantage
- Resides in the West Rand area
- Own reliable transport
- No criminal record
Key Responsibilities
General Payroll Duties
- Ensure compliance with Group Policies and Limits of Authority
- Address and resolve payroll-related queries promptly
- Communicate payroll-related feedback to employees
- Process new hires, terminations, transfers, and amendments
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures
- Process applications for provident funds, medical aid, and funeral schemes
- Accurately update and verify bank details for payroll processing
- Calculate and implement approved pay rate changes
- Handle leave encashments, COIDA payments, and payroll-related queries
- Conduct regular compliance audits to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations
- Manage monthly test packs and ensure timely actioning
- Provide Group Payroll Support and respond to payroll queries professionally
- Maintain workplace organization and proper handling of office equipment
- Identify and report irregularities proactively
- Uphold professionalism, consistency, and accuracy in all payroll-related tasks
- Lead by example and maintain integrity in payroll operations
Payment Processing Responsibilities
- Process Full & Final Settlements
- Handle rejected payments
- Address payroll queries, including loading income entries
- Prepare and process cheque requisitions, ensuring proper authorization
