Role Summary

We are seeking a New Business Administrator (NBA) to join our MDS Sales Channel team. The primary responsibility of this role is the timely and accurate capturing of new business applications. This position is key in ensuring an efficient value chain for our financial advisors and supporting consultants in achieving MDS strategic goals.


Qualifications

  • Matric / Grade 12 (Required)
  • Office/Business Administration Qualification – Degree or NQF Level 7 (Preferred)

Experience & Skills

  • 1–2 years’ experience in the financial services industry (Essential)
  • Proven experience in new business sales capturing
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Insurance industry background (Advantageous)
  • Familiarity with the MDS Sales environment (Advantageous)

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Service Support

  • Accurately capture new business information for Investo and Myriad products
  • Understand system capabilities across product lines
  • Use workflow systems (AS400) to communicate outstanding requirements
  • Process new Investo cases upon receiving all documentation
  • Route internal queries to appropriate support teams with clear descriptions
  • Identify and escalate risks according to company procedures
  • Rectify capturing errors and provide timely feedback to stakeholders
  • Maintain and update daily statistics via MS Teams
  • Support branches nationwide when needed for continuity
  • Suggest process improvements and report system issues or enhancements

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Build collaborative working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Stay current with industry and legislative developments
  • Contribute to innovation by sharing and applying new ideas
  • Actively participate in change management initiatives
