Location: Midrand, Gauteng
Position: Maintenance Worker


Job Purpose:

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for the upkeep and general maintenance of company facilities and equipment, ensuring a safe, clean, and fully operational working environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance:

  • Ensure all maintenance tools, stock, and equipment are securely stored and properly maintained.
  • Maintain control of primary keys and ensure secure storage of stock.
  • Submit all required documentation and administrative records to management (e.g., checklists).
  • Execute tasks as outlined in the inspection list, daily task list, and preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Provide daily updates to management on maintenance progress and issues (via logs, reports, and meeting feedback).
  • Handle equipment breakdowns efficiently, keeping management informed of progress and estimated resolution timelines.
  • Perform maintenance duties to the highest standard, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Occupational Health & Safety (OHS):

  • Comply with all health and safety regulations and requirements across Mustek premises.
  • Act immediately to address any safety risks or hazards, ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and the public.

Housekeeping:

  • Ensure all Mustek areas are clean, well-maintained, and meet health and safety standards.
  • Supervise cleanliness and presentation of workspaces and communal areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Driver’s license (advantageous)
  • Prior administrative experience

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with company procedures and policies
  • Basic understanding of occupational health, safety, and quality standards
  • Knowledge of company infrastructure and facilities
  • Ability to follow Mustek’s values and regulatory guidelines
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Health and safety awareness, including basic first aid skills
