Specialist Administrator – Section 14

Introduction:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Specialist Administrator to oversee and support our Section 14 processes. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction by leveraging their expertise, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvements.

Role Overview:

As a Section 14 Administrator, you will be responsible for managing Section 14 IN and OUT transfers, ensuring accuracy, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. You will also handle quality assurance, troubleshooting, and process enhancements, while maintaining professionalism and upholding the organization’s values.


Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory & Compliance Management

  • Ensure all Section 14 IN and OUT transfers comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies (FSCA, PFA) to provide updates and address queries.
  • Submit Section 14 documentation to transferee funds, trustees, valuators, and FSCA.
  • Maintain adherence to SLA deadlines (180 days for FSCA submissions, 60 days for benefit transfers).

Data & Process Management

  • Manage and update the Section 14 spreadsheet to track transfer progress.
  • Ensure the contributions team processes transfers within 10 days.
  • Prepare updated statistics for quarterly Board of Trustee meetings.
  • Generate and send member benefit statements to administrators/intermediaries.

Stakeholder Engagement & Support

  • Notify consultants of incoming or outgoing Section 14 transfers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with funds, brokers, and employers.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, ensuring queries are resolved promptly.
  • Provide training to staff on regulatory changes and ad hoc requirements.

Financial & Payment Coordination

  • Prepare payment schedules for transferee funds.
  • Request and process payments for transfers in and out.
  • Submit monthly progress reports to management and the Board.

Qualifications & Experience:

🎓 Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Section 14 Administration.
  • FICA Awareness Training.

💻 Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Excel (data management & reporting).
  • Experience in CRM & stakeholder management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Package & Benefits:

💰 Salary: R360,000 – R480,000 per annum
