Position: Administrative Support Officer
Location: City of Ekurhuleni, Gauteng
Employment Type: Permanent
Annual Salary: R417,864.00 – R573,228.00 (basic salary per annum, excluding benefits)
Minimum Requirements:
- A National Diploma in Administration or an equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a payroll or related administrative environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive administrative, secretarial, and organizational support to ensure quality service delivery to departments, employees, and service providers
- Establish and manage an efficient filing system in line with the National Archives and Records Service Act
- Draft and circulate approved policies, procedures, and implementation guidelines
- Act as a communication link between the Senior Manager and various stakeholders
- Assist in managing office processes to maintain operational efficiency
- Coordinate and participate in meetings and workshops
- Draft, document, and maintain procedural policies, manuals, and council resolutions electronically in compliance with legislation
- Support the Senior Manager with frontline operations aligned to the section’s Integrated Development Plan (IDP) goals
- Ensure all outputs comply with legislative and governance standards
- Adhere to financial management practices to reduce waste and highlight potential risks
- Maintain high standards of customer service and contribute to people management efforts
