Introduction
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient Administrative Assistant to join our team at our hardware store. This role involves supporting daily operations, managing office tasks, and assisting the admin team and management with administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a proactive work ethic, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
✅ General Office Support – Perform administrative tasks, including managing correspondence and responding to emails.
✅ Data Entry & Record-Keeping – Maintain accurate inventory records, assist with customer orders and sales data, and manage relevant documentation.
✅ Cash Handling Assistance – Support the team with cash register duties, including balancing cash drawers, processing transactions, and handling returns.
✅ Document Management – Organize and maintain both digital and physical files, including invoices, receipts, and store-related documents.
✅ Sales Team Support – Provide administrative assistance to the sales team, such as preparing reports and handling additional tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar administrative or clerical role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Time management skills – Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and basic office equipment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Problem-solving skills – Ability to handle unexpected challenges effectively.
- Previous experience in a retail environment, especially in hardware, is an advantage.
